In 2008, Kingscliff, alongside Murwillumbah Football Club, formed the Tweed Valley Kings, a first division football team. The same year, we finished the competition undefeated and earned a promotion to the Gold Coast Premier League. Playing under the Tweed Valley Kings model for four more years, the first couple of seasons proved challenging, but we managed to maintain our place in the league.
In 2011, the team came within one point of taking out the league and we were FA Cup finalists in 2012. The TVK Women were successful from the start of the venture and finished off with a Grand Final and League double in 2012. After Football Gold Coast implemented structural changes, TVK was forced to disband in 2012 and continue running as Kingscliff District Football Club.
Rest assured, we still hold the same philosophy and are determined to fight our way back to the top again!
